Am I eligible to use the
Free Family Legal
Advice Service?

The Family Legal Advice Service is wholly funded by the Ministry of Justice. Eligibility is based on your last three months income and the number of dependants you have. You can use the Ministry of Justice funding eligibility estimator tool to work out if you qualify for the free funded service, or refer to the income threshold table below.

How to use table

Start on the left hand side of the table and work out how many dependants you have. Your children are your dependants (whether they are living with you or not) and your spouse or partner will also be your dependant if they have no income.

Next look at the number on the right hand side of the table. If you earn below this amount you will be eligible to use the free Family Legal Advice Service.
