What is a border alert
(CAPPS listing)?

A border alert (formerly called a CAPPS listing) involves the listing of your child’s passport number and other details in the New Zealand customs database. Should anyone attempt to remove your child from New Zealand whilst an alert is in force, they will be prevented from doing so upon presentation of the child’s passport whilst being processed by customs.
